[Jukebox-list] NSM FIREBIRD

I went to a local print shop and had then cut me 100 pieces of plastic
to the correct size. Total cost was $44. They are a little thinner
than the originals but seem to be working fine.

I have seen the sleeves for sale on ebay from time to time. They are
still
available from NSM but are pretty high......about $1 apiece if I
remember
right. I use JukeCD to print title cards. It's about $50 which might
seem
high for a home jukebox owner. It's indispensable for me with a route
though
A lot of people just use the back page from their CD cases.....not
quite as
easy to read but free.

Do you guys have a source for buying the plastic sleeves?
Also could you recommend software for printing the title strips?

Thanks again.

Just a little tip from someone who's been there. It's very important to
use
the clear plastic sleeves for the title cards and pictures. Do not use
the
entire cd booklet but rather tear off the front page/picture. Any
additional
thickness will bind the pages up as they try to slide in front of one
another. Next, make sure every bit of plastic sleeve is under each and
every
little tab. If you miss one, it will snag, rip, hang, and bind up the
whole
thing. Seems like a pain but once you get used to it, it's really not a
problem.

Thanks

John Durfee has a manual which I'm purchasing.
My machine has the sliders. They had moved after I transported it and I
already made the mistake of removing every single one to re-install
them. It took me a while to figure it but they're up and running again
now.

I apologize for jumping right in here with a request for help but you
guys have been great.

Thanks again

NSM CD manuals are not available in reprint. Try John Durfee at
978-544-3800. If no good, either post where you are or contact me direct
and I'' inform you of your nearest NSM distributor. Good chance they can
order it for you.
There were many versions of the Firebird, You will need the model number
from the back or the ES number from the computer. Does yours show the
picture sleeves from the Display or does it have flip over pages? First
year was the flip over and then they went to the sliders, which were a
nightmare. If you have the sliders, you should contact me so I can tell
you what to do. From what I recall, early versions would not play an
entire CD. Reason being that the computer did not learn the number of
songs on each CD and would not know how many credits to take off. Free
play does not matter.
There was a P code to limit volume.
There is an input for a mic, but nothing for back round, at least on the
early ones. We would hook up a signal sensitive relay that would switch
the speaker input from the back round to the juke when it picked up
audio from the CD.
