Cold Drink Vending machines

 

Below are several Seeburg cold drink and can vendors. If you have color photos of any of the below, or brochures on any other Seeburg cold drink vendors, please contact me. Seeburg also owned the Choice-Vend and Cavalier vendor companies. To my knowledge, those companies continued to market their own lines of vending machines, rather than having them re-badged under the Seeburg name. That is why they are not featured on this page. Anyone having additional information on these companies while under Seeburg management, please contact me. I would like to hear about these times.

MS4 Color
M4S4:
Choice of 4 selections, 1 with full carbonation, 3 with variable carbonation from none to full.    Price (December, 1964) $1895.

M7S4:

(pictured at left) M4S4 choice plus 1 selection with no carbonation, 1 Iced Tea, 1 Iced Tea with sugar.    Price (December, 1964) $2095.

This was Seeburg's top-of-the-line Marquee Cold Drink vendor. Styled to complement the MC5 hot drink vendors, they were often found in pairs. These machines had a 19.6 oz. Ice reservoir, so that many drinks could be served in a row without running out of ice. It also featured Ice vend and water hold customer switches. Cup capacity: 1500 7 oz, 1500 9 oz, or 1400 10 oz cups. It contained enough syrup for 2900 7 oz drinks.

The MS4 series was offered with a variety of lighted marquees. Pictured at left is an M4S4 with Coca-cola logo. Also available were: Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, 7up, Royal Crown Cola, Canada Dry, the generic marquee pictured above, and a plain, brown-colored marquee.

4S93-105:

5� per drink.  Price: (October, 1963) $1845

4S93-110:
10� per drink.  Price: $1845

4S93-115:
15� per drink.  Price: $1875

Choice of four flavors with or without ice: 1 selection with full carbonation, 3 selections with variable carbonation from none to full. Featured customer Ice vend and Water hold switches. (pictured at left) Same as 4S94, plus: 1 selection with no carbonation, 1 Iced Tea, 1 Iced Tea with sugar. Alternatively, both Iced Tea selections could be replaced with two non-carbonated selections.  Price: $1975.

This machine is externally quite similar to the 4S93 series above. Cup and syrup capacities are also similar.

7SCD1:
Choice of seven different flavors, with or without ice: 1 selection with full carbonation, 3 selections with variable carbonation from none to full, and 3 selections with no carbonation. Price: (October, 1963): $1795

This machine had a cup capacity of 1500 7 oz cups or 1400 10 oz cups. It held enough ice for 20 consecutive vends, but it featured 'Rapid recover for unlimited vends'. It could handle 4 drinks per minute, and the syrup dispensed per drink was adjustable.

SCD2:

Very similar to the 7SCD1 above, except fewer drink choices.

Price: (November, 1964) $675

This is a can vendor, part of Seeburg's Williamsburg line of graphically matched vendors. It held a total of 189 cans of three different selections. In the days before pop-top cans, this machine offered an 'Automatic opener with protective door and self-sterilizing blade'.
